Meet Matt Ritter — The Friendship Guy

Helping people build better friendships, stronger communities, and more meaningful lives — one habit at a time.

We’ve tried everything.

Habit trackers. Biohacks. Supplements. Productivity systems.
And somehow, we’re still burned out, lonely, and wondering why life feels so heavy.

But the answer isn’t more optimization.
It’s connection.

Friendship is the original life upgrade.

It makes us braver, funnier, lighter.
It boosts our mental health, helps us live longer, and reminds us who we are.

And the best part?
It actually works. And it’s easier than everything else we’ve been sold.

This is your reminder to stop grinding alone.
Friendship isn’t a luxury. It’s a strategy.
Let’s build it together.

Why I Became
“The Friendship Guy”

I’m not one of those guys who lost all his friends after college. I’ve had the same tight crew since childhood. But then I moved to LA...and had to build a new circle from scratch. Eventually, everyone started moving away. And in LA, moving ten miles away is like moving to a different state. Then I had a kid. Started working from home. And suddenly I was going days without seeing another adult. No work friends. No coffee catch-ups. Even my best friends were just names in a group chat. Sound familiar?

So I made friendship a habit. I studied how to do it better.

And with one of my closest friends, I launched the #1 friendship podcast.
We’ve been on the Today Show, NPR… even my hometown paper (shoutout Penn Gazette). And yeah, because I can’t help myself, I also started a dad crew in my neighborhood called the DILFs of Larchmont. (Conan O’Brien is an honorary member.)

Now I’m here every day sharing what I’ve learned, because connection doesn’t just happen. You have to make it happen.

Friendship Shouldn’t Be an Afterthought!

That’s why I send one quick, useful insight each week to help you show up better, for your friends and yourself.

Join thousands building stronger connections, one small step at a time.
